Selected Projects

A series of selected projects in detail - on the left you can see the creative process captured in GIFs, showing the scene from basic blockout through composition, lighting, colours and textures, all the way to the final result. On the right is the finished render, which you can zoom into. On mobile, the GIF is shown first, followed by the final render.

Night Store

A scene inspired by a late-night walk during my trip to Budapest.

I remember walking through the city on a warm night and noticing a small shop that was still open, glowing into the empty street. It was actually just a regular convenience store, but I reimagined it as a music shop because visually it felt more interesting and gave me more room to play with the atmosphere.

I focused heavily on surface detail - especially the wall. Old marks from removed objects, dirt leaks from water damage, broken plaster where something used to be mounted - that was one of the hardest parts to get right.

This piece was rendered in Octane, and it really helped me push the look closer to what I originally imagined. I also had a lot of fun working on the AC units - surprisingly one of my favorite parts to texture.

Everything was created in Blender and Photoshop.

Depression

Created along the route I used to take to a Muay Thai gym on the outskirts of Prague.

Getting there was exhausting - after work, carrying a bag, taking two buses, spending almost an hour just to reach a place on the edge of the city. The area didn't feel safe, and it had this heavy atmosphere - rows of identical high-rise buildings, dull colors, a sense of neglect and poverty.

It all felt uncomfortable and mentally draining, which is exactly what I tried to capture in this scene.

The only contrast is the sky - a small sense of space and escape. For me, it represents at least some kind of hope in an otherwise suffocating environment.

And honestly - I'm just glad I don't have to do that trip anymore.

Filthy Bathroom

Before moving to Prague I was flat-hunting, and some of the places I saw were unbelievably bad.

Dirty, moldy, poorly designed - things that made no sense at all, like having a boiler right above your head in the bathtub. Some apartments looked like time had completely stopped there 60 years ago, yet they were still being rented out for real money.

This scene captures that exact feeling.

I spent a lot of time on textures - especially the sink, the fabric simulation of towels and cloth under it, and small messy details. One of the more unexpected challenges was actually the toilet paper stacks and getting their layering to feel believable.

All Projects

A collection of everything else I've created along the way. These are works from courses I've taken, smaller side projects, quick ideas, or scenes inspired by movies or places I've visited. Unlike the main projects, these don't have a fully documented creative process behind them - but they're still part of the journey.
