About me & my approach to work

I got into 3D in May 2023 and have been doing it every day since. No AI, no shortcuts - I build my models from scratch and create my own textures. I keep asset use minimal - around 90% of what you see in my scenes is my own work.

Before 3D I spent four years working in IT. Stable job, decent money, but it wasn't for me. At the time I had no major responsibilities, so I took the risk and switched. Looking back, the discipline from IT - deadlines, structure, consistency - helped me a lot.

Today I also work professionally. At kubazmedlova.cz I create architectural and interior visualizations for developers, architects and designers. That work is clean, polished and client-driven.

This site is the opposite side of that - more raw, experimental, and personal.

I'm drawn to imperfect things. Used objects, worn surfaces, places that feel like they've been through something. A big source of inspiration for me is Czech post-communist architecture - its roughness, its history, and the way it reflects how things used to be.

Outside of work, my life is pretty simple - my amazing wife, our black cat, a serious love for burgers, and Muay Thai to make sure I don't just sit behind a screen all day.

Make sure to check out my social media links below - you’ll also find a link to my professional website, where I focus mainly on architectural visualization, as mentioned above.
